This page compares Melaleuca's Peak Performance Nutrition Pack with GNC's Vitapak programs, two ways to get a day's supplements in packets instead of separate bottles. Peak is one core pack of six supplements in a Women, Men or Longevity 50+ version, at $2.73 a day for members, while GNC sells many targeted packs that run about $1.67 to $3.00 a day.

What is in the Peak Performance Pack?
Melaleuca describes its Core 6 on melaleuca.com as six supplements that ship together in one box of 60 packets. You take one packet in the morning and one later in the day. The six are Vitality Multivitamin & Mineral, Recover AI, ProvexCV, CardiOmega EPA, CellWise and Florify. CardiOmega EPA provides 1,000 mg of EPA and 100 mg of DHA omega-3s, according to Melaleuca. Florify is a probiotic with nine strains and 11 billion cultures, and Melaleuca says it is packaged separately for freshness.
Melaleuca says the Vitality multivitamin uses patented Oligo technology for mineral absorption. It also says the pack was tested in four human clinical studies and improved 25 key health markers in healthy people. These are Melaleuca's statements about its own product, and they have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.
What does GNC offer in its Vitapaks?
GNC's Vitapak programs are also sold as a month of daily packets, but GNC lists many packs, each named for a goal or an age. On gnc.com, the Mega Men Performance and Vitality Vitapak V2 and the Women's Live Well Vitapak V2 each list at $59.99. The Mega Men Whole Body and Women's Whole Body 7-in-1 Vitapaks list at $89.99. The Men's and Women's 30+, 40+ and 50+ Vitapaks list at $49.99 each. GNC sells these in its own stores and online.
What does each cost per day?
The Peak Performance Nutrition Pack costs $118.00 for a 30-day supply at the regular price, or $3.93 a day. At the preferred member price of $81.99, it comes to $2.73 a day. GNC's Whole Body 7-in-1 Vitapaks cost $89.99 for a month, or $3.00 a day, so the Peak member price is about 9 percent less per day than GNC's Whole Body pack.
GNC's other packs cost less per day. The Mega Men and Women's Live Well Vitapaks at $59.99 work out to $2.00 a day, and the 30+, 40+ and 50+ packs at $49.99 work out to about $1.67 a day. Both are below Peak at either price.
Peak's member price comes with a Melaleuca preferred membership and a monthly order. GNC's listed prices are what you pay for a single box, in a store or online.
Both companies change their prices from time to time, so check melaleuca.com and gnc.com for current pricing.
Who is each one for?
The Peak Performance Pack fits a household that wants one settled routine: choose the Women, Men or Longevity 50+ version, and the packet contents are chosen for you. According to Melaleuca, the six supplements cover what most people buy separately, from the multivitamin to the omega-3s to the probiotic. Two packets a day replace a row of bottles on the counter. The member price suits someone comfortable ordering online with a monthly order arriving at the door.
GNC's Vitapak programs fit someone who wants to match a pack to an age or goal and buy one box at a time. There are packs for men and women in their 30s, 40s and 50s, plus the goal-named Mega Men and Women's Live Well options, and the lower-priced packs cost less per day than Peak. You can walk into a GNC store and take one home the same day.
Talk with your doctor before starting any supplement routine, especially if you take prescription medication or are pregnant or nursing.
