Price per use
Price divided by loads, servings or applications, so a concentrate and a full-size bottle can be compared fairly.
What the label says
Ingredients and directions as printed on each label, in the label's own wording.
How you buy
A membership catalog delivered to your door, or a regular trip to a major retail store.
This site compares Melaleuca household products with similar products from well-known brands sold in major retail stores, on the same terms. The biggest difference is format: Melaleuca's EcoSense cleaners come as concentrates that you mix with tap water in a reusable spray bottle at home, according to Melaleuca, and that changes what each bottle costs you per use.
The concentrates are labeled 2x and 4x, and some are labeled 12x. A store cleaner usually comes as a full-size, ready-to-use spray bottle.

Each comparison's full page shows the numbers and labels side by side, plus how you would buy each product.
EcoSense vs Method covers everyday household cleaners. It looks at each formula and bottle size, then works out what a single spray costs. See the full Melaleuca vs Method comparison.
EcoSense vs Seventh Generation covers laundry and household cleaning. Both brands use plant-derived ingredients, and the comparison looks at what you get for your money with each. See the full Melaleuca vs Seventh Generation comparison.
Melaleuca vs Grove Collaborative is about how you shop. Both companies sell cleaning and personal care products online through a membership-style relationship. See the full Melaleuca vs Grove Collaborative comparison.
Three more comparisons look at specific products:
Laundry. MelaPower 9x Laundry Detergent is set against Tide Original. Melaleuca says MelaPower uses naturally derived stain removers and natural enzymes. The comparison covers loads per bottle, price per load and what each label promises.
Shower. No Work 12x Daily Shower Cleaner is compared with Clorox Plus Tilex Daily Shower Cleaner, which is made for the same use. See the pairings under Melaleuca vs other brands comparisons.
Disinfecting. Sol-U-Guard Botanical 2x Disinfectant is compared with Lysol All Purpose Cleaner. According to Melaleuca's product guide, Sol-U-Guard kills 99.9% of germs using thyme oil and citric acid. The comparison covers what each product kills, what its label says and what it costs to use.
Why concentrated formulas change the comparison
Most of a ready-to-use cleaner is water. A concentrate comes in a smaller package, and according to Melaleuca, most EcoSense products are concentrated so you don't pay to ship and package extra water. To mix, fill your bottle to the concentrate line, add tap water to the fill line, and reuse the same bottle when it runs out.
One bottle of concentrate makes several bottles of finished cleaner, which is where the savings per use come from. Melaleuca says its concentrated EcoSense products can do the work of several spray bottles of traditional cleaner, and that shipping less water means less plastic and fewer transportation emissions. EcoSense products are ordered through Melaleuca's catalog rather than picked up on a store run.
That is why shelf price alone doesn't tell you much. Each comparison starts with cost per use, which shows more clearly what your family actually pays.
Why Forbes ranked Melaleuca No. 2 for value
For a company many shoppers have never browsed, outside evidence helps. Melaleuca ranked No. 2 on Forbes' 2026 America's Best Brands for Value list, behind Costco and ahead of brands like Toyota, Trader Joe's and Apple.
Consumer insights company HundredX worked with Forbes to build the Forbes list, drawing on about 4.7 million ratings from more than 160,000 consumers gathered between June 2025 and May 2026. Evaluators considered quality, price, customer service, satisfaction and likelihood to recommend for more than 5,500 brands. Only 300 made the list.
The ranking measures value for the price as consumers experienced it, based on their own ratings. "Most people think value means paying less," Melaleuca founder and executive chairman Frank VanderSloot told Forbes. "We think it means receiving more." The comparisons here let you check how that value holds up for the items in your cart.
What Melaleuca products would work for your family?
Start with whatever you buy most often. If it's laundry detergent, read the MelaPower 9x comparison first. If it's an all-purpose cleaner or disinfectant, start with that comparison.
